Heart & Sol is a small batch, bespoke apothecary dedicated to sharing our love for people, animals, plants and the planet through a pure and simple collection of ancestral skincare.

Handcrafted and naturally full of essential nutrients for deep hydration, our tallow products are traditionally prepared - completely free of toxins, synthetics and preservatives. We are proud to be able to provide a local, organic, truly clean, waterless, and plastic-free skincare line. (More products coming soon!)

We are woman-owned and operated. We give back. We share 10% with our local Food Coalitions through Gorge Grown supporting Food Security & Accessibility within our community.

Say Hello to Tallow.

Traditionally prepared for a number of applications, Tallow is full of high concentrations of essential micronutrients which are only found in animal products and have a profound impact on skin, longevity, and overall health.

As a gentle and reliable skincare ingredient, Tallow is truly a skin superfood which nourishes your skin with the essential fat-soluble vitamins it needs to restore and maintain balance. Tallow contains the closest fatty acid profile to our own skin. This biocompatibility allows it to be absorbed quickly and easily.

Vitamin A - Encourages the production of collagen, elastin and healthy skin cells and strengthens tissue to keep skin firm, smooth and youthful while helping to heal skin issues ranging from acne to aging.

Vitamin D - Contributes to skin cell development, repair, metabolism and immune function and protects and rejuvenates skin by protecting against free radicals that cause premature aging.

Vitamin E - Powerful antioxidant that repairs and reverses free radical damage and deeply hydrates and promotes healing in skin’s appearance.

Vitamin K - Plays an important role in skin tone, texture and overall health and soothes skin inflammation and irritations while helping to speed up the healing process.

Conjugated Linoleic acid, Palmitoleic acid, and Stearic acid - Assist in repairing skin and improving the skin's protective barrier.

Anti-aging; promotes hydration, cellular regeneration and renewal.

Anti-acne; calms inflamed acne lesions. Reduces inflammation leading to quicker healing and less scarring.

Non-comedogenic; will not clog pores.

Non-greasy; absorbs quickly.

Tallow is an age-old, tried and tested skincare solution, used well before today’s chemical-laden, petroleum- and water-based products. Tallow is stable and does not oxidize or go rancid easily, like a majority of plant-based products which may damage skin cells due to synthetic additives, including preservatives, making them bio-incompatible.

Our grass-fed, grass-finished tallow is a regenerative, earth-friendly, animal-based ingredient that is a generally unused byproduct of beef production highly suitable for sustainable skincare and cosmetics. 

 

Directions and Disclaimer.

Tallow is sensitive to heat. Keep at room temperature or below. If your tallow appears softened, cool in the refrigerator for a couple hours or until solid… just like butter. 

DIRECTIONS:
Apply liberally to dry skin, cracked heels and elbows, diaper rash, sunburns, stretch marks, eczema and can even be used as lip balm or deodorant. Apply morning and night or as needed. Can be used on face, body and hair. Considered safe for sensitive populations.
